GAMMA GAMMA CHI SORORITY, INC. FINDS NEW HOME IN TENNESSEE Effective January 25, 2010, Talbott, Tennessee becomes a new addition to Gammaland when President and Executive Director Dr. Althia F. Ali moves there. In announcing the move, Dr. Ali said, "Tennessee is my home state, and I have made the decision to return there for both personal and professional reasons. Before making the decision to move from Alexandria, Virginia, to Tennessee, I considered not only the ability to reach my personal and professional goals, but I also evaluated the impact on the sorority. Since the sorority's inception, we have operated as a national organization, and we have made use of many forms of technology to maintain contact with all of our chapters within the US and with people from around the world. This move will hardly be noticeable to members of the sorority or to others with whom we communicate. If anything, it opens new doors for us, and I am excited to share Gamma with my fellow Tennesseans perhaps sooner than I might have had we remained in Virginia."
